Temporary Senior Technical Support Engineer

Temporary Senior Technical Support Engineer

(Turnkey Factory Support)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Last-line support for solar capital equipment installed in our turnkey factories:

  • Support all technical issues escalated from our field service team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software issues using remote and onsite support
  • As an escalation owner, lead and manage the escalation and drive the escalation process to closure
  • Identify systemic issues through detailed root cause analysis and develop long term solutions
  • Generate post-mortem reports and present at the customer level

Coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders to build and maintain the service knowledge infrastructure and achieve service KPI goals:

  • Assist with analysis and reporting of factory and system performance and service costs; identify systemic issues
  • Influence and help drive continuous improvements to system design targeting quality, system performance, and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with Management, Field Service, Manufacturing and Engineering to improve service procedures, training, and service processes
  • Review, update and create new service documentation to ensure a solid document suite is available and current

Support new product introductions to the field:

  • Provide support and technical feedback to the design team during development, prototype testing, and beta release
  • Plan and provide training to internal and external service personnel for new product introductions, CIP changes, upgrades, and BKMs

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a related role; experience in the semiconductor or solar industry is preferred
  • Experience in diagnosis and repair of complex systems including electronics, mechanics and software control
  • Troubleshooting, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills are critical to the role
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40% – 70% (primary customer base is in China)
  • Excellent team skills with the ability to form solid partnerships across functional groups and to influence decision makers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure customer environment, engage face to face with customers and effectively manage difficult situations

EDUCATION:

  • BS/MS in Engineering or related discipline
  • A high level of experience mixed with the right skill set may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus

Temporary Production Planner

Temporary Production Planner

ABOUT THE JOB:

The Production Planner will be responsible for all aspects of material flow through manufacturing of complex semiconductor capital equipment at MiaSolé for future factories. The Production Planner will work within a team of Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics Professionals to plan and execute work orders, optimize the business process and systems to deliver to order, and to work as a team to manufacture efficiently at the lowest cost.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, schedules, coordinates and / or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle.
  • Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedule. Coordinates with material handlers.
  • Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and materials shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
  • Daily Work Order release to production and proactively resolving material shortages that impact the build plan.
  • Work with IT Professionals to set up Oracle MRP and ERP systems according to the build sequence.
  • Reviews Engineering Change Orders, Manage material impact and Excess and Obsolescence.
  • Manage inventory and cycle count analysis
  • Receiving / transactional discrepancy analysis
  • MRB Management
  • Prepares production reporting to Management

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:    

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a similar position; Semiconductor capital equipment experience is a plus; Related industries desired.
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing and will have a passion for continuously improving manufacturing processes in a team setting.
  • Must be a problem solver who is comfortable with developing new businesses processes and communicating ideas cross functionally.

Turnkey Factory Engineering Manager

Turnkey Factory Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead an engineering team through the New Product Introduction (NPI) Process for new equipment/upgrades.
  • Ensure equipment has the necessary design, documentation,  process to achieve required performance (Throughput, Yield, Reliability)
  • Prepare training requirements for new equipment.
  • Support training for new factories
  • Ensure on time delivery of manufacturing technologies, qualification testing and high volume manufacturing operations and processes such as but not limited to:
    • Hardware/Tooling
    • Assembly, processes, and documentation
    • Define and release preventative maintenance requirements and spare parts
    • Training of manufacturing personnel on maintenance and equipment operation
    • Equipment qualification (FAT and SAT)

  • Ensure equipment of new designs and build to print are to print and perform to functional specification.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of management experience in capital equipment development  – specifically New Product Development/Introduction

Position Summary:

MiaSolé is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support global manufacturing of high-volume production equipment (including thin film CIGS vacuum process tools and automated machinery), used to manufacture and test world class solar cells.

 Responsibilities:

  • Create and release new product and equipment specifications
  • Primary technical interface with module assembly factory automation equipment suppliers
  • Lead the following efforts between Engineering, Operations and Suppliers:
    • Release assembly, processes and documentation to Operations
    • Release equipment, hardware/tooling to Operations

Summary Description

MiaSole, a growing global solar energy company, seeks a proactive and high energy Director of Manufacturing Financial Planning and Analysis who possesses strong instincts for business operations and a demonstrated ability to drive change and continuous improvement. He/she will lead the company in responsibility for manufacturing, inventory, supply chain and fixed asset finance. This role leads a team but is also very hands on, the team is currently 3 individuals including cost and fixed asset accounting.  He/she is pivotal to driving visibility and transparency in to our cost per watt results, and our levers to achieve our goals.  He/she interacts with executives across operations to assure timely and accurate reporting and forecasting of our operational key metrics, financial results for both gross margin and working capital.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the annual budget, financial forecasting and financial reporting processes for manufacturing, inventory, capital and supply chain;

  • Responsible for the operating and maintenance of the Oracle based cost accounting processes and systems, including cost per watt and monthly standard cost maintenance within the ERP system. This role is responsible for all raw materials, WIP, finished goods and spare parts
    • Responsible for managing the cost model and aligning projects to key cost reductions
    • Analyze and report actual versus planned costs and associated variances
    • Build a full accounting system that can be leveraged and expanded to multiple sites as we strive to build out our capacity
    • Approval and tracking of all materials purchases
    • Ensure appropriate controls are in place, including management reserves to appropriately value inventory and assets
  • Capital equipment – we are a highly vertically integrated manufacturer, and this role will support all aspects of capital accounting
    • Help plan and document execution of equipment builds
    • Review and approve all manufacturing related capital requests
    • Reconcile fixed asset build cost variance accounting and appropriate capitalization of completed equipment
    • Assess and develop full processes for equipment change order processes to assess financial impact and cash flow
    • Manage spare parts inventory accounting, including assessment of inventory controls, valuation
  • Creation of a standard set of reporting for internal management and preparing insightful and actionable performance analyses for senior leadership
  • Cadence and process to identify and manage intra quarter changes to deliver commitment per quarter and beyondCollaborate within Finance function, across Controller and Mfg Finance and IT leads to assure that all internal metrics are aligned with company view, and that support for the external messaging is clear and appropriate. Build a high performance team and continually improving financial planning capabilities at all levels.
  • Lead and manage process improvement initiatives, profitability analyses and other special projects that span the entire company.
  • Enhance the existing budgetary reporting structure in a manner which facilitates transparency, forecast accuracy, timeliness and continuous improvement;
  • Improvement of Oracle and Manufacturing systems integration
  • Improve standard costing methodology for inventory and capital equipment builds

Required Skills, Experience and Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; C.P.A. / MBA preferred.

Strong financial leadership/organization skills as well as program management capabilities including ability to direct and motivate others required and ability in the use of influence and change management skills required.

Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing and accounting experience, with at least 5 years as a business unit or manufacturing financial leadership; strong Oracle reporting capabilities;  Strong ability to manage budgeting, forecasting and analytical functions in a dynamic environment required including ability to analyze, understand and communicate complex issues and trends required. Proven track record in dealing with accounting and audit issues,

Ability to drive continuous improvement in business processes, financial accounting and controls, and automation of financial analysis to support more efficient use of finance resources, faster close, and more robust controls; strong Microsoft Excel skills required

Position Summary:

The ideal candidate for this position has experience as a key contributor to a major business unit independently developing and programming complex equipment used in high volume manufacturing. Candidates must have direct experience in the design and continuous improvement of software and controls including PLC and PC architectures and thorough working knowing of a wide range of electronic control components.


Responsibilities:
  • Leads the specification and development of equipment controls based on robust architectures and SW coding methods
  • Expert at integration and control of a wide range of hardware components such as robots, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors and vision systems.
  • Expertise implementing error detection, logging and recovery algorithms to necessary to shutdown and restart equipment while adhering to relevant industrial safety standards

Process Engineer 2 – New Product Introduction (NPI)

Position Summary:

The NPI team is responsible for the successful transfer of current and future technology generations from development to manufacturing. This is a highly technical job. This position interfaces and works with manufacturing, sustaining engineering, yield engineering, equipment engineering,  technology and product development, reliability engineering for successful introduction and evolution of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, exercise and revise existing operational procedures and documents
  • Review data sets available from development, identify missing pieces and drive for completion.
  • Develop monitoring procedures and reporting schemes with manufacturing, sustaining engineering and development.
  • Flag problems (process centering, yield etc) and drive solutions through appropriate groups.
  • Support manufacturing team and operations through issues and escalations during the transition phase.
  • Lead and own improving and sustaining process of MHT technology
  • Act as liaison between R&D and production for current and future technology

Required Skills, Experience and Education:    

  • Bachelor’s / Masters Degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar. Advanced Degree is preferred.
  • 2-4 years in a technically related role, preferably in solar, semiconductor, or similar industry
