2kWp of MiaSolé solar cells have helped the Solar Boat Twente team achieve third place in the Monaco Solar & Electric Boat challenge. Solar Boat Twente is a student team at the University of Twente that designed and built an innovative boat solely driven by solar energy. The team worked for a full year full time, in order to reach their goal: a top-3 finish at the solar boat world championship in Monaco.

R-2-min-minSolar Boat Twente covered the deck of the boat with sub modules constructed out of MiaSolé cells by Solliance. The boats that the team competed against all used crystalline silicon instead of the more innovative thin-film.
